Some carefully watch their diet and some don’t even care what they are putting in to their body. Many different people have different thoughts about caffeine and there are several answers why they think that way. The people that don’t consume caffeine often usually try to stay away from it because they see the disadvantages to consuming caffeine. They think that the cons outweigh the pros. The people that consume caffeine often will go on about all the benefits to consuming caffeine. They, obviously, think that the pros outweigh the cons. If the body is use to working on caffeine and using it to stay energized or awake it might not react well to n ot having the normal dosage or caffeine. Over time, when consuming caffeinated drinks regularly, it can increase blood sugar. This is caused some by the caffeine but mostly because of the sugar that these drinks contain, so caffeine is not directly related to increasing blood sugar. If a drink is found without containing much sugar, it reduces the chance for increases the body’s blood sugar level. (Swartzendruber, 1) Many other things that are consumed along with the food or beverages that contain caffeine can lead to health problems. An example would be that most Americans consume many drinks and foods with caffeine in them but the caffeine is not causing the health problems necessarily. This is because Americans consume things like soda and chocolate along with many other unhealthy foods and beverages that all lead to obesity and if not properly proportioned and put with the right amount of daily activity it can lead to some serious health problems. The leadership style and decision making skills of the management of the organization is based on a number of factors such as the interpersonal skills, communicational skills, critical thinking skills and collaboration skills. This essay mentions my reflection on the leadership style, critical thinking, decision making and effective communication in a business and its effects on the performance of the organization. Project background My Capstone project was a business plan developed for an organization starting up in the healthcare industry. The business plan focused on the major business activities of the organization which are healthcare and care management agency. The project was completed based on a number of efficient and effective theories and concepts. Some of the concepts used in the project are strategic planning, lean canvas and business model concept. We will go through some of the real-time implementation of these concepts and theories utilized in the project. Transformational leadership Transformational leadership style is quite unique and allows the leaders to influence the followers to a significant amount in the workplace of the organization. I think this type of leadership style is the most effective in any type of workplace as there is high level of communication between the management and the employees in the workplace of the organization. Transformational leadership allows the management or leaders in the workplace of the organization to initiate various changes in the workplace. The critical thinking skill also allows an individual to compare all of these possible solutions to determine the best solution to the problem. The implementation of the critical thinking concept in the workplace of the healthcare organization can be ensured through the development of the business plan for the organization by having the focus on critical thinking (Nosich, 2012). I think that the critical thinking skill of the management of the organization allows it to determine the best possible solution to each of the business cases and to implement the most efficient business model for the organization. The critical thinking skill allows the management of the healthcare organization to determine the best possible ways of providing the healthcare services, maintaining the infrastructure of the organization, managing the employees and maintaining th e inventory (Halpern, 2014). Decision making The decision making skills of the management of the organization defines its capabilities to take the efficient decisions in the workplace of the organization. The decision making skills of the management of the organization can also include the feedback, input and opinion of the employees in the workplace. I think the concept of having an informative decision making process leads the organization into the light of success. So Ill ensure the implementation of an efficient database and an effective database management system to gather various information regarding the business processes of the organization. The database and the management system can be clubbed with a number of data analytics frameworks and policies to gain insight into the data. This in turn will allow the healthcare organization to have efficient decision making process in the workplace of the organization (Beach, 2015). Collaboration Collaboration can be defined as the synergy of the teams in the workplace of the organization to work together on the various business activities. The presence of collaboration in the workplace of the organization allows the management of the organization to utilize the resources in an efficient manner. The presence of collaboration also leads to the increase in the performance of both the individuals and the entire organization. Ill ensure the presence of collaboration in the workplace of the healthcare organization through practicing the Agile mindset. The migration of the entire workforce into the Agile mindset will allow the workplace to have effective collaboration among the employees and the management. The presence of the collaboration among the teams can be strengthened by the maintenance of small teams in the workplace along with implementation of a number of information radiators to allow all the business information to be available readily (Wang, 2015). Effective communication Effective communication is one of the most obvious factors of the success of an organization. Ill ensure the presence of the effective communication among the employees and the management through the effective implementation of various communication media like emails, instant chats and video conferencing. The presence of effective guidelines for he communicational activities of the employees also allows the employees to have effective communication among the employees, which in turn leads to the increase in the performance of the organization. Lean canvas Lean canvas is an adoption of the traditional business model canvas with a few changes. This model allows the development of the business model in keeping the entrepreneurs in focus. There are a few examples of the organizations across the globe, which have attained market success by implementing lean canvas in their workplace. Ill use the lean canvas to develop the business model for the startup healthcare organization. Wuthering Heights In Bronte's novel Wuthering Heights the idea compensation for love lost is discussed. Wuthering Heights is a quiet house in the country where the Earnshaw's and Heathcliff live. Heathcliff loves Catherine Earnshaw very much but, she decides to marry another man, Edgar. Heathcliff marries Edgar's sister just to make Catherine jealous. At the end Heathcliff abandons his plan for vengeance and professes his love for Catherine only to see her die soon after. In the novel Wuthering Heights Bronte shows that revenge is not the key to happiness through irony, through plot, and through characterization. Irony is used over and over in the novel Wuthering Heights to express the notion of revenge. The main ironic incident in this novel is that no one ends up with the person they want to be with despite the fact that they can be with the one they love. For example Catherine loves Heathcliff. Catherine and Heathcliff are soul mates, and she even remarks to Nelly that, ? I [Catherine] am Heathcliff!? (142). She is angry at Heathcliff for not leaving sooner to make something of himself. Catherine could have had Heathcliff, but she chooses not to and ends up miserable. Another example of irony is that Heathcliff and Isabella do not love each other. Heathcliff thinks that he is with Isabella to get back at Catherine. He sees Isabella as an unsuspecting ?young lady?(91). However, Isabella married Heathcliff for spite. She resents the fact that her Catherine married her brother and wanted to get back at Catherine. Neither Isabella nor Heathcliff find happiness in each others arms, and they both die miserable and unsatisfied with each other. The fact that Edgar wants to get back at Heathcliff after Catherine's death is very ironic. Edgar won. Catherine marries him and not Heathcliff. Edgar is always jealous of Heathcliff. Before Catherine's demise Edgar tells her that, ?It is impossible for you to be my friend and his at the same time? (99). When Catherine does not p. 3 respond to this Edgar goes on to tell her, ?I absolutely require you to choose? (100). When Catherine does die Edgar seeks revenge. He knows that Catherine died of a broken heart torn between Edgar and Heathcliff. Edgar in a ranting rage tells Nelly, ?I'll crush his ribs in like a rotten hazel nut?(158). He seeks vengeance on Heathcliff, but never gets it. A final example of irony is with Heathcliff and Hindly. A few years after Hindly condemns Heathcliff to a life of servitude Heathcliff runs off and makes a living. He comes back a wealthy and proper man. Heathcliff helps Hindly out of debt. However, Hindly owes so much money to Heathcliff that Heathcliff takes Wuthering Heights from Hindly. So, just when Hindly thinks that he got back at Heathcliff for ruining his life Heathcliff takes his revenge and lets Hindly died a poor, miserable old man. The plot in Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights reflects the concept of revenge. Mr. Earnshaw meets a poor boy on one of his trips. Because Mr. Earnshaw is such a ?capital fellow?(9) he takes pity on the boy, Heathcliff, and invites him to live with the Earnshaw's. Mr. Earnshaw has an alterior motive for the boy. He wants his children, Hindly and Catherine, to understand what it is like to share their wealth with someone who is less fortunate than themselves. Mr. Earnshaw figured that the children would learn and grow from this experience. The truth is that the children did not. Hindly grows up miserable and resentful of Heathchiff. And Catherine eventually turned her nose up to Heathcliff only to find that she is cheerless without him. The novel takes a turn when Catherine has to decide whether or not to marry Edgar. She knows that she has ?no more business marrying Edgar Linton than I [Catherine] have to be in heaven? (64). Yet Catherine marries Edgar anyway for p. 4 wealth, but more importantly revenge. She wants to get back at Heathcliff for never making something of himself. But at the end Catherine is the one who suffers. Heathcliff desires Linton and Cathy to be wed.
